How your data is handled
Ask Peter, by Driven Publishers. Last updated 1 October 2026.
What happens to your question
Ask Peter is an AI that answers from Peter Holmquist's videos, the free Skool courses and his book. To answer, your question is sent to Google (Gemini), which turns it into a search, to our database host (Supabase), which runs that search across Peter's material without storing your question, and to Anthropic (Claude), which writes the answer and suggests questions to ask next. We use their paid business services, which do not use your question to train their models.
What we keep
- No account, no name and no email address. We do not keep a log of the questions people ask.
- Answers are kept for up to 14 days so that asking the same question again is instant. They are filed under a scrambled fingerprint of the question, not the question itself.
- Suggested next questions are kept for up to 14 days in the same way, under a fingerprint of your question.
- To stop abuse, we count requests per internet address. The counts expire within two days.
- Answers, feedback and these counts are stored with our cache provider (Upstash).
- Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived technical logs, such as addresses and pages requested.
Conversations
A conversation stays in your browser tab. When you ask a follow-up, the earlier questions and answers of that conversation are sent with it so the answer understands what you mean. They are used for that one answer and we do not store them, and follow-up answers are never cached. Closing the tab or choosing New question clears the conversation.
Skool community discussions
When Peter's videos, lessons and book do not cover a question, Ask Peter can also draw on discussions from the free Skool community. Before anything is stored, each discussion is rewritten so that no member can be identified: no names, handles, book titles, links, sales figures or personal details, and the original post is never stored or linked. Answers from Peter and his coaches are marked as such, and members' experience is marked as unchecked. To have a discussion you took part in left out, write to the address below.
Feedback
If you rate an answer, we store your question, the start of the answer, your rating, any reasons you pick for a poor answer, any note you write, which sources were shown and the time, so we can improve the answers. We never store your name, email or internet address with it.
On your device
- A cookie that remembers your access code for 90 days, so you do not have to type it again.
- Two counters and a visit marker in your browser (how many questions you have asked and how many visits), used only to decide when to show the invitation to Driven Publishers Elite.
- The conversation in your current tab, until you close the tab.
- Your first name, if you add it for the initials next to your questions. It never leaves your browser.
Videos
When an answer includes a video, its thumbnail and player come from YouTube. The player uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own terms apply to it.
